Carefully designed to respond to the scale and streetscape of its urban fabric, Astéras Kings is characterized by clean, modernist lines, and a distinguished playfulness in form. Taking cues from the pedestrian pathways of Melrose Place, the building mass was carved to reveal light atriums, courtyards and corridors, and exposing a collection of 25 light-filled private residences.

Astéras Kings, viewed from North Kings Road. Simplicity and minimalism were considered throughout every aspect of the architecture. The building step-back allows the building to blend into the natural context, while emphasizing its distinctive perforated stainless-steel veil at the upper front façade.

Curved floor-to-ceiling corner windows allow the building’s edges to soften.

Designed by Susan Narduli Studio, perforated stainless-steel abstract veils depict foliage from trees native to the area. Located at the upper front façade, these veils surround the fitness studio and filter light, mimicking the effect of sunlight passing through dense trees.
